photography

The photographs were taken in Tokyo, Paris, and Okinawa, using both film and digital cameras. All shot within a six-month period. Image of street scenes, details or an image captured in black and white or in color.

Places, film and digital techniques, black & white, color – it all merges into one. The pairs of images that are added to combinations, are selected intuitive for emotional or aesthetic effect: The newspaper stand where Bob Dylan is the headline for his Nobel Prize nomination next to the neon light sign ´chose to shine´; Coca-Cola vending machine in the middle of brown sugar fields in Okinawa next to an old Japanese Coca-Cola bottle; Amour in Paris next to a Tokyo love hotel. All pairs together are related to each other and a story becomes visible, which varies among the viewers.
